On Monday, November 5th, AYEA graduate Cheryl Lockwood testified before a Congressional Select Committee on climate change impacts in Alaska. Cheryl is Yupik Eskimo from St. Michael village, and has seen parts of her community literally sink into the ocean. “Hopefully [Power Shift] will get our Congressional leaders to see how much help Alaska needs and take action,” said Ms. Lockwood.
