Holding a passion for the world and an eye for the beauty it contains, northern adventure / landscape photographer Dave Brosha is on a continual journey to seek out and capture some of the most extreme, and pristine environments in the world. In addition to living throughout northern Canada for much of his life, Dave - along with his beautiful wife, Erin - have also lived in Asia and have traveled extensively through both the many provinces and territories of their native country and numerous countries abroad.

Despite the fact that Dave has lived a "cautious" life, the unusual continues to seek him out: a major spinal operation as a 12-year old that saw a chunk of his spine fused together; a head-on car accident when he was 16 that left him with two broken legs and a whole new appreciation for "not driving like an idiot"; a frightening night in Taiwan in 1999 in the middle of one of the country's most serious earthquakes ever that made him realize that he's really "a baby in the face of danger"; and a "situation" while working for a telco in the Canadian Arctic that saw him halfway up a telephone pole with three polar bears waiting below. His usual reaction? Fear, panic, hysteria, and a pledge to live a life of shopping malls and television from those moments onwards... but he somehow continues to stumble into what can only be described as "unique" situations without looking back. His newest ambition? A 2009 mountain climbing expedition up Mount Logan, Canada's highest mountain.

Published in numerous media outlets including Up Here, the CBC, the Vancouver Sun, Above & Beyond, and CTV, Dave's impressive client list has included the 2010 Vancouver Olympics, the National Hockey League (NHL), the Montreal Planetarium, and former United States Vice-President, Al Gore (who used some of Dave's images in his international global warming speeches).

"Viewing Dave Brosha's art is like being able to experience perhaps just a small reflection of the awesomeness of what the 'Divine' might be like. To use a Wordsworth analogy, Brosha is able to capture a 'spot' of time. Not a 'spot' of time that speaks to us via letters and sounds, but natural and human made images of colour captured in all their complexities and splendour...his migration to Northern Canada has provided him with a wealth of humbling, awe-inspiring, truly breath-taking natural wonders that add fuel to his personal quest to capture the beautiful, the magnificent, the raw, the unleashed and unfettered images to which he sets his mind and camera.

His photography is truly an inspiration. It takes us to another plain wherein we come face to face with that which is beyond our mortal space and yet entices and draws us to that which is perhaps our ultimate dwelling place - the eternal".

Lewis MacKinnon, Gaelic singer, recording artist , and member of the East Coast Celtic band, Jug In Hand, 2006

Dave in Winter Dave in Winter "I have worked with Dave repeatedly over the past year on a number of CBC projects – from the True North Concert to buying stock photos for our advertising campaigns. His images are crisp, clear and indicative of the entire north – pure and simple. I really enjoy working with Dave - he is personable and can get 'the perfect shot' without being intrusive and I will continue to use him for projects in the future!"
