(Here's what Moveon is saying about Senator Baucus.)
Montana Senator Max Baucus is one of the most powerful members of Congress in the fight over health care reform.
Baucus has championed some good reforms but, just days ago, he told Time magazine that he's willing to bargain away our best chance at health care for all—the option of a Medicare-like public health insurance plan for everyone.1
This is the biggest fight in the debate over health care reform. A public health insurance option would take the power away from the private insurance companies that have controlled costs and coverage for years—and they're dead set against it.
But as Dr. Howard Dean recently said: "If Barack Obama's health care plan gets changed to exclude a public option like Medicare, then it is not health care reform."2
Can you call Senator Baucus and urge him to support the choice of a public health insurance plan? Tell him a public option like Medicare is not a bargaining chip—it is vital to real health care reform.

If you can find better form of advocacy or lobbying (Oops, that's a nasty term), please advise us.

Politicians must be continually kept under a magnifying glass and periodically dissected. Unfortunately, the rich Washington life style (as well as the continue rubbing up with lobbyists) can eventually give any politician a bigger-than-life concept of their importance. Like the entitled class at AIG, they can easily begin rationalizing their theft of the public treasury and trust. If you know of any such shenaningans, please comment below:
