I have long had a strong environmental orientation.  The interrelationship between humans and nature has been a consistent theme in my artwork, through several stages.  In my artistic exploration of urban mobility, I observed the world more deeply.  I came to realize the primacy of energy as the underpinning of our civilization.  The more I learned about energy issues, the more concerned I became.  Energy is the defining issue of our time.
